Welcome to your one-minute masterclass. I’m Andrea Trench, founder of DiscoverDance and creator of the Foundations Course for Early Childhood Dance Educators and the DiscoverDance Experience Membership. Today, we’re beginning a new series on teaching choreography to our youngest dancers. Challenges with learning choreography include short attention spans, lack of interest, complicated movement and formations, and difficulties remembering material. We’re going to tackle all of these challenges in the upcoming weeks. We will bring light to the realistic expectations for this stage of development and learn the tools we can incorporate to set our students up for success.
